INTERIOR DESIGN FOR TOWNHOUSE 3.250sf

TOWNHOUSE CREATED ON PRINCIPLES OF BRUTALISM AND MINIMALISM:

This project of a 3-floor townhouse in Batumi was created for a client who had a distinct taste for brutalism and minimalistic aesthetics. The primary goal was to create a visually striking and harmonious interior design that aligned with clients' preferences while maximizing the potential of the space.

Design Approach:

1-Embracing Brutalism:

Given the clients' affinity for brutalism, the focus was on exposing and highlighting the raw materials present in the townhouse. Concrete walls and ceilings were left unadorned, showcasing their texture and imperfections, becoming a defining feature. We collaborated with skilled craftsmen to ensure flawless execution, creating an industrial charm that resonated with the client's vision.

2— Dark Color Palette:

The client expressed a specific desire for dark colors in the interior.  Selecting a rich palette of deep grays, charcoal blacks, moody greens, and blues to meet this request. These hues added an air of sophistication and drama, creating a sense of depth within the space. By skillfully balancing the dark colors with strategic lighting and contrasting textures,  it was ensured that the design remained inviting and visually engaging.

3— Incorporating Minimalism:

To achieve a minimalistic design was adopted a less-is-more approach. Each element was carefully curated, ensuring functionality, simplicity, and clean lines. Selected furniture pieces with sleek profiles, eliminating unnecessary embellishments and ornaments. This created an open and uncluttered atmosphere that accentuated the spaciousness of the townhouse.

As we move to the second and third floors, design approach shifts towards a more minimalist style. The focus was on creating serene and tranquil bedroom spaces while maintaining a touch of the client’s preferred aesthetic. To achieve this, we opted for a combination of partly white-painted walls and sections of exposed concrete. This balance of elements added visual interest and texture, without overpowering the minimalist atmosphere.

Upon the client’s request, the third floor was designed as a versatile space. In the event that the client opts to rent out the first two floors, the elevator from the parking area will be reprogrammed to directly access the third floor, separating it from the rest of the house. This level features a private kitchen and a living room area that can accommodate various uses.
